Morogoro District Commissioner Mussa Kilakala has said that the Government is in the final stages of completing the Morong’anya Water Project, which will benefit more than 50,000 residents, more than six wards, and 19 villages.
During the Council of Councilors in the Morogoro Council Hall, he said the Government has invested more than 21 billion in the project, which will address the challenge of lack of water in the Council.
Kilakala used the opportunity to remind the Councilors to increase their efforts in collecting revenue so that the money can help complete development projects.
In addition, Kilakala has asked the Councilors to manage income collection, prevent loopholes in income loss, and protect resources that are the main sources of income including crops.
On his part, the Chairman of the Morogoro Rural Council, Lucas Lemomo, has said that they will ensure that they manage the collection of income well so that the income can help in the completion of various development projects.
The Council has received instructions from the District Commissioner to ensure that they involve stakeholders and parents to manage the availability of Desks, Chairs, and Tables by January 2025 so that students can get rid of the ordeal of sitting down.
