The Head Teacher of Vikenge Primary School, John Joseph Maro, said the support came at the right time, as the school previously had only three chairs for teachers, forcing 19 out of 22 teachers to use students’ desks as seats.
“This support is a great relief for us; our teachers will now have a better working environment, which will increase morale and productivity in teaching,” he said.
The Acting District Primary Education Officer for Mvomero District Council, Mr. Stephen Msome, commended CDO for complementing the Government’s efforts to improve the education sector, he noted that the school achieved a 100% pass rate last year, making the support both timely and well-deserved to sustain academic excellence.
Beyond Vikenge Primary School, which has 438 students and 22 teachers, CDO continues to play a significant role in advancing education in Tanzania, having supported more than 150 students from primary level to university since its establishment.
Ward Councilor for Mzumbe, Ferdinand Matangalu, expressed gratitude for the support, stating that it holds great value for the development of the school and the wider community.
