Towards the local government elections, Morogoro District Commissioner Mussa Kilakala has called on the people to come out in large numbers on November 27 this year to fulfill their constitutional right to elect local government leaders who will have a positive link in promoting the economy and development generally.
He said this while leading a walk to encourage citizens to participate in the Local Government Elections in Ngerengere Warrd, Morogoro District Council in Morogoro Region where he said citizens should choose leaders with integrity, leadership regardless of religious ideologies and their circumstances who were the catalyst to bring them development
On his part, the Electoral Officer of the Morogoro District Council, Joseph Kibopile, said that the preparations have been largely completed, including the addition of polling stations to make voting easier and the people not to spend a long time at the stations.
Some citizens said that the initiatives carried out by the leaders towards the local government elections are very productive because they provide education and understanding about the exercise of local government elections.
The race to encourage citizens to participate in the Elections, went hand in hand with the exercise of donating blood to help those in need of blood, especially pregnant mothers, where Chief Medical Officer of the Morogoro District Council, Dr. Gozberth Kalunde has said that they have been using various public events to encourage blood donation because there are many people who need blood and there is little blood available.
