The Tanzania government has provided 185 billion to start the implementation of the Project for improving sewage and sanitation services in some Morogoro Municipal Wards.

Introducing the project at a Ward meeting held at the Mbuyuni Ward Dispensary, the Environment Officer from Morogoro Water Supply and Sanitation Authority (MORUWASA), Kirie Ali said the project will officially start around November or December 2025.

She said Mbuyuni ward will benefit from the project in all its streets where more than 200 million have been allocated.

Opening the meeting, Mbuyuni Ward Councilor Samuel Msuya, called the citizens who appeared at the meeting to receive the project and cooperate when it starts.

The Chairman of Sabasaba Kota Street, Jonus Muhagama, being grateful for the project, said that they will provide good cooperation so that the project can be completed 100 percent.

Moreover, Chairman Muhagama together with various citizens, complained to the officials of MORUWASA, including delaying the water service for a long time and failing to repair the poor water infrastructure.
