BISHKEK, KYRGYZSTAN
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has proposed three major economic and strategic initiatives for the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO): the establishment of an SCO Bank, the creation of an Export and Investment Insurance Union, and the formation of an Energy Consortium. Furthermore, he suggested founding a Strategic Security Studies Center and a Parliamentary Assembly to deepen cooperation among member states.
Speaking at the 26th SCO Summit in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, President Pezeshkian also used the platform to strongly condemn the US-Israeli attacks on Iran on June 13, 2025, and February 28, 2026. He denounced the aggression as clear violations of international law and the UN Charter.
In his address, President Pezeshkian recounted the martyrdom of Iran’s Supreme Leader, the massacre of 168 students and teachers in Minab, and the strike on a sports hall in Lamerd that killed and wounded over 200 people.

However, he declared that Iran’s armed forces and united populace dealt strategic defeats to the aggressors, ultimately forcing the US to accept a ceasefire after 40 days of resistance. This led to the Islamabad Memorandum, which President Pezeshkian noted the US violated within just two weeks.
Concluding his speech, the Iranian President emphasized that Iran will respond proportionally to any breach, but remains ready to immediately reciprocate if the US returns to its commitments.
