Zahara Michuzi changed the use of Money and bought Motorcycles for Ward Executives

Ifakara Town Council Director, Zahara Michuzi, has made a unique decision by changing the use of government funds amounting to 186 million shillings, which were previously allocated for the purchase of the Director’s car, the funds will now be used to buy 19 motorcycles for the ward executive officers in the council.

“This decision aims to solve the challenge of lack of fast transportation for Executives, a challenge that has been hindering the implementation of their responsibilities, especially in reaching citizens on time, tax collection, and management of development projects”, noted Michuzi.

However, Michuzi has emphasized that this step aims to improve the efficiency and responsibility of Executives in their daily activities.

The Kilombero District Commissioner Advocate Dunstan Kyobya, has praised the Director’s unique action, saying that it is a sign of wisdom and true leadership to see the Director collaborating with the Council of Councilors to make decisions to change the use of public funds to empower Ward Executives have better transport.

He added that these motorcycles will enable Executives to do their jobs more efficiently and increase productivity and professionalism in the execution of their duties.

“This action of the Director of Ifakara provides a good example of leadership, in Tanzania and Africa that focuses on the interests of the people and the development of society, it is a sign of patriotism, responsibility, and courtesy in leadership, qualities that should be imitated by leaders of other areas”, stated Advocate Dunstan Kyobya.

Initially, the executives were faced with the great challenge of not having fast transportation, which was hindering their efforts to reach the people, collect taxes, and monitor the progress of social projects.
